Nick Leeson shares valuable lessons with FinArch customers

Ghent - June 24 2008. In light of the recent events at Société Générale, Financial Architects (FinArch), the international provider of a Finance Resource Planning (FRP) platform for the finance industry, has invited "rogue trader" Nick Leeson to share his opinion about the latest financial scandal, and to talk about how banks could avoid this.

FACtS 2008 is the annual client summit organized by FinArch offering its clients a varied programme, well-balanced between business and pleasure. At this year’s edition, to be held in Riga (Latvia) September 24-26 2008, Nick Leeson, infamous for his role in the collapse of Barings Bank in 1995, will share his insight and frank account of his actions that led to the downfall of the banking empire. He will tackle the question of how similar financial debacles as the collapse of Barings Bank continue to happen and what safeguards are needed to avoid them. Mr. Leeson will speak in the afternoon following customer testimonials of different clients implementing capital management, accounting, sub-ledger and compliance solutions worldwide.
