Given the importance of the above mentioned topic, IBM Japan in cooperation with FinArch is delighted to host the Academy which provides an ideal platform for Banks and Securities firms to discuss IFRS with the independent industry expert and benefit from its in-house expertise to get acquainted with IFRS. The workshop focuses on the practical implementation of IFRS, and hence provides valuable and practical insight into both the principles and application of IFRS. The objective is to share our experiences of IFRS adoption in Europe and Asia as well as to provide a forum for the participants to learn from FinArch Subject matter experts on key issues, challenges and opportunities the IFRS adoption project unfolds. The IFRS roundtable kicks off the IFRS Academy, an initiative set up by FinArch to assist banks to meet the IFRS deadlines. Previous sessions were held in Jakarta, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Cairo.
