BI Developer/Architect
Job Description:
We are looking for someone enthusiastic to strengthen the ‘Data Disclosure’ team that is responsible for building reports for financial institutions. These reports fit into our ‘Financial Studio' product, which allows banks to meet their specific reporting needs and obligations.
As BI Developer/Architect, you will be a key player in building up the Data Disclosure team. You will be creating the vision and strategy of the team (e.g. determining the design of the reports and choice of to be used tools). You will involved in versatile projects in many different functional areas (such as accounting, risk management etc) and using different technical tools (depending on the needs and nature of data). These could be implemented as OLAP reports, reporting services reports or grids.
Your challenges:
- Expanding the Data Disclosure team, establishing the vision and strategy
- Design, implement, test and maintain reporting services reports
- Improving your programming skills and transferring your knowledge to others by participating in peer code reviews
- Profile, identify and remove performance bottlenecks, think about how to represent complex data structures, granularity of data, filtering data with input parameters etc…
- Keep track of requested changes to the components you have under your wings
Professional and Personal skills required:
- Solid SQL knowledge (Microsoft SQL Server 2005 & 2008) and basic programming knowledge (C#, VBA,…)
- Reporting experience with OLAP Tools (e.g. SQL Server Analysis Services, Business Objects, Cognos, Hyperion or similar products) is a must.
- Being familiar with Visual Studio and knowing your way around Subversion is helpful
- Fluency in English
- Customer- and service-minded with good communication skills
- Eye for detail
- Interested in the world of banking? Follow training on “Finance and Risk management for banks” to better understand the needs of the end user in terms of reporting
