Subject Matter Expert in Financial Accounting
Your tasks and responsibilities include:
- Make detailed functional analysis of general ledger, sub ledger and IAS/IFRS related requirements, according to legal texts and agreements like IAS 32, 39 and IFRS 7
- Understand the complexity of translating the functional requirements into technical specifications for the development of new product family based calculators and processes. In other words being able to understand technical requirements and to guide the developer during the process of developing and testing the newly developed process
- Actively participate in the new module "Event Based Accounting" and become a real expert in this matter
- Highly motivated to keep one-self up-to-date with the latest updates of the IAS/IFRS regulation related to Financial Instruments and Financial Institutions
- Give training and communicate new features to the pool of consultants, pre-sales and non-product line colleagues
- Help the Accounting product line (software components) to achieve a higher level of quality and reliability
- Have a high interest in the automation of regulatory requirements for Financial Institutions, example FINREP and how the data within Financial Studio can be used to feed this automation process
- Acquire expertise knowledge in different regulatory reporting like FINREP in Europe or equivalent reporting needs in other non-European countries
- Be able to give functional implementation support to Accounting projects during the start-up stage
Professional and personal skills required:
- Excellent knowledge of and a solid experience in the banking/financial sector, more specifically in the area of IAS/IFRS matters
- Good understanding of IT and financial software
- Motivate junior team members
- Strong and proven project management skills
- You have experience in training, coaching and motivating people
- Deep analytical skills
- You are hands-on, driven, motivated and you like to take initiative
- Being able to communicate effectively in English (all other languages are a plus)
- Eager to work in an international and quickly evolving environment
